Final Feature Categories Added
Store Changes
Being able to customize in games is usually a plus for me. With such a simple game, I wanted to allow players to be able to customize to add to their own experience. I have finally added all categories of customization to Zig Zag! This includes (old and new features):
- Player Color (old)
- Background Color (old)
- Floor/Map color (new)
- Player Shapes/Models (new)
These 4 categories allow users to customize just about every aspect of the game while playing. While all categories are now released in the game, there will be future updates that add to these categories such as more colors and shapes. I simply wanted to release a few showing users what is to come and how it will work allowing for quick and easy updates of more store items.
Gameplay Changes
From the comments and outside reviews it has been determined that the game is quite difficult early on. While I do intend for the game to be challenging, I do not want players to be unable to pass the first few rounds. I have altered the random generation to allow for easier pieces to spawn more likely, creating easier first few rounds. Hopefully players will find this to be the case. To get things just right will require more testing and feedback (so please always feel free to let me know how things are!).
I also intend to create new set pieces that may spawn for the players to traverse. I was thinking set zigzag blocks, jump repetitions, etc. (feel free to voice any recommendations).
Once the game feels better balanced and more items have been added, the game will be fully released. I could release it at the moment in its current state, but feel balance should be added first. As always, thank you to all who check the game out and feedback is always appreciated.
